OF MISSOURI

2004 SUMMARY AND RAFFLE

December 4, 2004

Dear SACMO Supporter:

What a wonderful, successful year Missouri gun rights in general and SACMO in particular has enjoyed. SACMO hosted the Gun Rights Rally Day in Jefferson City on February 25th and on February 26th the Missouri Supreme Court declared that the new concealed weapons law was constitutional. To date, 112 of Missouri’s 114 counties are taking applications and issuing permits. It should come as no shock to any of “us” that as of this writing, and in direct contradiction of our opponents, cops have not “died like flies,” the streets have not “run red with blood” and the “wild west has not occurred at every fender bender.” Will the anti-gunners ever admit that they were wrong? No, and they will continue to try to destroy the new law and will continue to try to damage our gun rights. We must keep up the pressure!

Since March 1st of this year, representatives of SACMO appeared 15 separate times on either television or radio news and talk shows plus numerous letters, quotes and articles in newspapers. In each case, we defended License To Carry in particular, gun rights in general and always preached the positive aspects of firearms ownership. We are  certain that we have had a positive impact on public opinion!

But now we have to look to the future. We have to continue to defend the new LTC law, correct its Hancock Amendment wording issue, but without allowing the anti gunners the opportunity to damage it. Also, we need to start planning our next offensive while still being prepared to stand up to spontaneous anti-gun efforts that seem to pop up with alarming regularity. To do this SACMO must be financially prepared. And that brings me to the subject of our ANNUAL drawing for a ...

---GENUINE COLT, HEAVY BARREL, AR-15, cal. .223, TARGET RIFLE! ---

As you know, this is one of the ways that SACMO raises funds to fight the next year’s battle. It is a way that allows all of us to have a little fun, to dream about being the one that wins a really fine rifle and at the same time, helps SACMO to continue its mission.

But, frankly, it really should not be about whether or not you win the rifle, even though someone will. It should be about knowing that the money that you donate goes to an organization, SACMO, which regularly and effectively fights for gun rights in ways that most individuals can’t.

The drawing will be on December 14th, 2004 and tickets will be available at the Stratford Inn gun show in Fenton, MO on Dec. 10, 11 & 12. If you received tickets in the mail, the deadline for receipt is Dec. 13th so don’t delay in sending back your completed ticket stubs with your check or money order made payable to SACMO. Please fill out the ticket stub completely as the winner will be notified by the information that you provide.

Thank you so much for your past support and I look forward to, with your continued generous support, another successful SACMO year in 2005.

Dale A. Schmid, President, SACMO
